The letter 'J' and fillings.
The classic jammy dodger. This would have been tasty had it not have been stale and interfered with (note the lack of sugar).
The Jingle, a little-known biscuit of Turkish-origin. Its interior tastes like Nutella. A good morning choice to punch away those the pre-lunch pangs.

I love Jammy Dodgers, but not real Jammy Dodgers... I like the knock-off ones that have the creme in the middle in addition to the jam. Authentic JDs don't have this creme and I just find them a bit too dry. Your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI agree Fozzles, the creme(or cream) is the tipping point. Plus real JD's have a lingering taste of complacency to them, which is not present in their cheaper brothers/sisters.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a Fox's Jam Cream to me, which the reviewer would know if she had actually eaten it.
ReplyDeletePlease Shannon, no venom here. It may have been a Fox's Jam Cream, BUT as a conoisseur I wasn't prepared to even approach this biscuit. I hope to have some genuine JD's on here tomorrow.
